The aim is to use this brief to change the way you think about Science/Fiction and fire your audience’s imagination to see a new take on your interpretation of Science/Fiction. Research and investigate the philosophical and factual elements of Sci-Fi, Investigate its categories and its history and then create an engaging experience for your target audience. Work to develop ideas that are not obvious and shine a new light on how Science/Fiction intertwine with our lives and give narratives to our experiences, both culturally, philosophically and theoretically.
Part 1
Challenge and provoke, whilst establishing a clear understanding of how Science/Fiction gives meaning to the world around us.
Part 2
The final delivery of your Sci-Fi Experiment will be a website that contains and ring-fences your project proposal and experiment
Part 3
The Sci-Fi experiment website needs to consist of a minimum of 5 digital experimentations which does not need to relate with each other in medium but should ideally make up a coherent narrative as the v iewer/user explores the experiment
Exploration
We always want to know more and experience more, and have more. This conquering of the unknown
is a big driver in interesting Sci-Fi concepts
Expansion
Trying to see if we can extend our species beyond one planet and seeing how we can expand our
knowledge into other places. To see if we are the greatest species or prove that we are.
Enhancement
To see how much we can enhance ourselves and push the limits to see what humans and technology
under our control is capable of. To build things and create protection for our species is a great basis for a Sci-Fi idea.
Artificial Intelligence
The need to try and make our everyday nuances obsolete and have artificial intelligence do these
things for us, to make technology think for us so we don't have to, and inevitably replace us as we will no longer be needed.
Sharing Knowledge
We as humans have an integral need to share our knowledge and show what we are capable of.
The Human factor is kept throughout all of the concepts, it is what connects all Sci-Fi elements and at the same time gives life to all these ideas. At the centre of all these ideas are Humans and thus will form the core of the conceptual excecution
